The Hitachi 3/8-Inch Right Angle Drill is built with a powerful 4.6 Amp motor and comes with a dial-in variable speed control, allowing you to maintain your selected speed from 500 to 2,300 RPM under load. The right angle design and low profile, 3-1/4-inch head of this drill allow you to easily reach tight corners and odd angles, making this versatile tool especially suited for plumbing and electrical applications.
Weighing only 3-3/10 pounds, this drill is lightweight and compact for increased comfort and ease of use, while the small grip circumference provides increased maneuverability. The switch on this drill is difficult to operate. Myself and two other guys had problems with it. The drill is either locked on or off. If the bit jambs you can not quickly stop the drill or for any matter it is difficult to stop. This is a problem and will probably burn up the motor when it is jambed and attempts to turn. I guess if Hitachi makes a better switch or even a simple trigger it would be a great drill. I am returning mine tomorrow.
