This 55 lb. Anvil measures 6" wide x 14 1/2" long x 6 1/8" high and has a 5 1/2" horn and 4" x 8 3/4" face with 1" square hardy hole.

I am not picking on Grizzly tools in particular as there are other tool merchants that count on customer inexperience to sell low quality merchandise. This anvil, probably made in China, is CAST IRON. It is soft and will mark and dent easily if you actually hit it with anything. A good anvil is made from CAST OR FORGED STEEL and has been hardened to resist marking. If you just want a big heavy iron thing in your shop to give it some panache, this might be perfect for you. If you actually plan to do amature blacksmithing, this is NOT the tool for you.
