The characteristic curved edge, carried well above the head's eye, the position of the edge in relation to the handle and the wide beveled face make this axe a good carving tool. The axe has a 4 3/8" face, a 14" hickory handle and weighs 2 lbs. Each axe is shipped razor sharp and includes a very complete book on use and care of your new carving axe. Made in Sweden.
