Black & Deckers VersaPak tools are great for the homeowner, and to keep them running, youll want some spare batteries. Some advantages to these include their freedom from "memory," which keeps you from getting a full recharge and the fact that youll get at least 300 full recharges on each battery. Theyll power all the 3.6-volt VersaPak tools, including the ScumBuster and screwdrivers. Of course, once you buy a VersaPak tool, you dont have a choice of batteries, but weve found these to be reliable and well able to power the 3.6-volt VersaPak line. The charger has a light that lets you know youve inserted the batteries for a charge, and three hours later, theyre ready to go. Our only suggestion: Wed like to see Black & Decker revamp the charger to let us know when the batteries are fully charged. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

These animals used to work just fine. After a year the little red lights do not come one unless you play with not putting the batteries in all the way. You can feel the connection. Then they may light up and if so may stay lit. At other times the red lights go dull or out. After twisting the batteries the lights come back on. I Just do not know when to trust the charger. Again the batteries may be going out. However there is no way to discern this from a bad charger unless you buy new batteries. I am looking for the gold batteries now.
