The Streamlight Stinger is a compact, powerful, super-bright, high performance rechargeable, lightweight personal flashlight with easy to locate tactical tailcap switch. It is the most powerful flashlight ever made in it's size. The machined aluminum housing with a non-slip rubber grip is anodized against corrosion and the unbreakable polycarbonate lens make the Streamlight Stinger HP Flashlight virtually indestructible. It features a xenon gas-filled bi-pin bulb with variable spot to flood beam, a beam of up to 15,000 peak beam candlepower, 125 lumens, and a 30-hour life with a spare bulb in the tailcap. The Push-button head switch with momentary or constant on. The Stinger Flashlight is serialized for positive identification. The three cell, 3.6 Volt, sub-C nickel-cadmium battery recharges up to 1000 times. It has a continuous run time of one hour. The Streamlight Stinger has an LED charge-continuity indicator. The compact, snap-in charger mounts in any position. This Streamlight Stinger comes with the DC 12v (vehicle lighter) charger/holder. Color Black Weight (with battery) 10 ounces Length 7 1/2-inches.

This light is well-built and sturdy. It fits well in the hand. The light is quite bright and the 12V charging system seems to work well. The battery life is quite good considering how bright the light is. My major complaint is with the focusing ring. My light will not go to a good spot mode. It is diffused so that the tightest spot I can get at 20 feet is close to 3 feet wide. More importantly, the ring must be focused precisly to achieve even that; otherwise the light quality is not very consistent across the width of the beam.
