I have been testing battery chargers and batteries for charging efficiency as a byproduct of marine wind turbine testing I am doing. Of the 5 different chargers I tested, this was by far the most efficient. It is also very powerful; for just a little more than a standard 15 amp charger, you get 40 amps. The 3 stage charging program significantly speeds charging of large capacity batteries. I bought 1, used it for several months, and was so impressed, I bought a 2nd one to boost the charging capacity of a very large batter bank. It is ideal for use as a charger for boat battery banks, either cruising sailboat or for bass boat type trolling motor battery banks.
