Product Description
The Freud 11/16-Inch Bevel Rail and Stile Bit Set includes two perfectly matched bits that mill beautiful panel door frames and joints. This set allows the woodworker to build doors with true mortise and tenon construction for rock-solid joints that last a lifetime. This set mills perfect 1-3/4-inch rail and stile joints for exterior doors. To mill 1-3/8-inch interior door joints, simply remove spacers from each bit. This set also makes milling a tenon of any length easy.
Made from high-density carbide with titanium, this set features an anti-kickback design for safety, a shear angle design for superior finish, a multi-axis grinding for burn-free cuts, and a perma-shield coating to resist heat. With a gentle 17-degree bevel profile, these bits are the ideal complement to Freud's raised panel bits No. 99-515, 99-516, and 99-566. They can also be used with other raised or flat panel styles to create completely unique door designs. For use on table-mounted portable routers, these bits measure 11/16-inch in diameter and 3/4-inch in carbide height with a 1/2-inch shank.

The bits themselves work as expected. They cut great and with no noticeable chatter. As for shipping, I have the same complaint as many other reviews I read before buying. The cheap plastic container Freud packages these in simply doesn't hold the two bits in place. Mine arrived w/o damage, but in my estimation that was pure chance because one of the two bits was flopping about the container freely when I opened it.
