Old bushings are pressed out of the control arm. The C-clamp tool is used to remove the bushing. C-clamp is installed over the bushing, an adapter is selected to fit on the bushing and push the bushing through the control arm. Turning the handle on the C-clamp pushes the bushing out of the control arm. New bushings can be installed by driving or pressing them into place.

This tool set is just a bushing press. It will work in a number of situations requiring pushing a bushing out or in. I haven't actually used it yet, but I expect it will perform the job I purchased it for... If you are working as an automotive technician this tool is probably not for you; if you are a Saturday mechanic, like me, it is a good, inexpesive option.
