Freuds industrial series blades were designed for the serious woodworker. Some LU blades include a red Teflon coating that helps reduce friction, heat build-up, and gumming -- which prolongs the life of the blade.
About the 10-Inch 30-Tooth TCG Glue Line Ripping Saw Blade
Freud's LM74R blade has specially designed triple chip grind (TCG) teeth to produce extremely smooth glue line rips in hard and soft woods from 1/8 to 1 inch thick. This blade's Laser-cut anti-vibration slots drastically reduce vibration and sideways movement while extending blade life, and its thick MicroGrain carbide tips allow for more cuts between sharpening. The non-stick Perma-Shield coating reduces gumming, rusting, and corrosion for longer life with less wear.
Applications
This thin kerf blade produces glass smooth surfaces when crosscutting hardwoods and softwoods, thanks to Freuds unique side grinding technology. It removes less material than standard carbide blades, thus requiring less horsepower to produce equally good results.

To say I no longer use my jointer would be slightly untrue, but about 85 percent of the time I don't. This blade is a pure joy to own. Without sounding like an ad for Freud..... I rip and glue. What a time and money saver!
