I mistakenly ordered this because it looks like the thing I set out to buy, namely the carpad itself with its raised edges to contain melted snow and dirt. In fact it's simply a cover to place over an existing carpad, and only useful if you have studded tires. I called the manufacturer and they told me this mistake has happened to several Amazon customers.
